What is Canaster?
Canaster is a free Canasta (canasta) scorekeeping app. It replaces a paper sheet: it totals round scores, tracks the dealer, and shows the meld minimum.

How Canaster works
1. Create a match
Enter team names (solo or pairs), set deal order and the target score.
2. Score each round
Add points after every round. Canaster keeps running totals and shows the meld requirement.
3. Keep playing
When a side hits the target, the game ends. Start a fresh sheet in the same match.

How many players does Canaster support?
Two sides — solo or partnerships (classic Canasta 2×2). Each side can have one or more named players.
Are scores saved in the cloud?
Yes. After you register, matches belong to your account and are available on phone and computer when you log in.
How is the meld (wykładka) calculated?
Meld depends on the current total: under 2000 → 30, under 4000 → 60, under 6000 → 90, under 8000 → 120, from 8000 → 150.
Which languages does Canaster support?
Polish, German, English, and Spanish. Switch anytime with PL / DE / EN / ES.
Does Canaster work offline?
Login and saving need an internet connection. The UI is built for phones at the table — large type, fullscreen, fast score entry.
